About The Founder

Jeric, the founder of The Corazon Project, embarked on this noble journey fueled by a profound desire to honor the legacy of his late mother, Celina Corazon Fungo Mibale. With her spirit as his guiding light, he laid the groundwork for an organization that embodies the virtues of compassion, service, and community upliftment. Jeric's dedication to the cause is not just a testament to his love for his mother, but also a reflection of his commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of those in need.

Jeric, Cely's "Anak-ko"

Jeric's journey is marked by profound experiences of resilience, determination, and the spirit of service, deeply ingrained in him through the life of his mother, Cely. Immigrating to Prince George's County, Maryland in the 1980's, Cely's perseverance in the face of change and adversity and her unwavering positive attitude left an indelible mark on Jeric.

Her courageous battle with pancreatic cancer until her passing in 2014 only reinforced these lessons of resilience and hope. A year after her death, Jeric honored his promise to her by graduating with a degree in Aerospace Engineering and commissioning as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force.

This pivotal moment underscored Jeric's commitment to embodying the work ethic, determination, and desire to serve that he witnessed in his mother's life and the disciplined structure of military service. These influences have shaped Jeric into a leader passionate about giving back and supporting others, driving the mission and impact of The Corazon Project forward.
